General FAQ's

  • What is the daytime staffing ratio (i.e. number of residents per caregiver)?

    1 to 6

  • What is the staffing ratio at night?

    1 to 6

  • What medical services are available?

    Registered nurses, contracted physicians and therapists

  • Can outside (visiting) care be arranged? If so, who coordinates that care?

    Yes! Kristin, our care director, coordinates the arrangements of each residents’ care.

  • Is a nurse on duty 24 hours per day? If not, how many hours is a nurse on duty, and what are those hours?

    Our registered nurses are on site five times a day for medication pass, and they are on-site for all assessments and health evaluations.

  • Does the community have a secure building?

    Our facility is a lock down facility.

  • Does each resident have an individual care plan?

    Each resident’s care plan is personalized upon their arrival and is reassessed every 3 months thereafter.

  • Is there a visiting physician?

    Yes there is.

  • Can you care for wheelchair-bound or bedridden residents?

    No, that type of care is reserved for a nursing home facility.

  • Are you able to care for residents who are physically aggressive or who exhibit disruptive behaviors?

    Yes, we understand that aggression and various disruptive behaviors are a part of Alzheimer’s and dementias, so we have developed plan of action to redirect any negative behaviors that may be encountered. We also refer our residents to see a psychiatrist to manage the medication aspect of minimizing disruptive behaviors.


Memory Care Features And Treatments

  • What are the living arrangements?

    Each bedroom is semi-private, fully furnished, and equipped with amenities such as diffuser, Alexa, emergency call system, and more!

  • Do they have walking paths or circular walking paths for residents?

    Yes! The entire inner perimeter of the dining and common room provides a walking track.

  • Do they have a special memory care dining program?

    Yes! Our sensory dining provides a unique experience designed specifically to address memory care needs.

  • Do they group residents by cognitive level?

    No, the entire community is setup for memory care.

  • Do they offer pet therapy?

    Yes! Toby and Charlie are our therapy dogs that are in regularly attendance and their presence is made available upon residents’ request.

  • Music therapy?

    Yes, a variety of musical accompaniments are provided in the form of song, instrumental, and dancing.


Community Policies

  • What types of care are they not able to provide?

    We cannot provide care to anyone who has a feeding tube, catheter, colostomy bag, etc.

  • Do they provide a thorough assessment before admission?

    Yes, each resident is assessed for admission and reassessed every 3 months.

  • How often do they update families about residents’ well-being?

    Weekly, and as many times as needed or requested throughout the week.

  • Is there one flat fee, or separate fees for housing and care?

    One flat monthly fee, however the fee is based on level of care needed.
